Reconstructive Surgery Pricing

Reconstructive procedures are highly individualized, with each plan thoughtfully developed to address both medical and aesthetic considerations. The investment reflects the level of surgical expertise, complexity, and care involved in achieving natural, lasting results.

We believe that price transparency is a critical part of ethical, patient-centered care. While pricing within insurance-based systems can be difficult to anticipate, many patients find that their out-of-pocket costs are not significantly different when compared to a direct, transparent approach. The ranges below are provided to offer clarity from the outset, allowing you to make informed decisions with confidence.

The estimates listed reflect surgeon’s fees for common reconstructive procedures. Facility and anesthesia fees are separate and vary based on the setting and level of care required. Reconstructive procedures may be performed in the office, at an outpatient surgery center, or within a hospital setting, depending on what is most appropriate, safe, and cost-effective for your specific needs.

Many procedures can be performed within our office-based procedure suite under local anesthesia. For cases requiring a formal operating room, we partner with Surgical Arts Surgery Center, a QuadA Medicare-certified facility, offering self-pay rates that are often more cost-effective than traditional hospital-based care. For more complex cases requiring inpatient monitoring, we work with regional hospital systems including Cottage and Dignity Health.

For patients pursuing insurance reimbursement using their “out-of-network” benefits, we are happy to provide the necessary documentation. For patients with Medicare-based insurance, please visit our Medicare page.

A detailed & personalized estimate will be developed during your consultation.

“What an honor to write a review. Dr. Soares has been such a blessing through my cancer journey. He is so kind, patient, and wonderful. Dr. Soares was so informative in educating me on my options for breast reconstruction and I chose DIEP Flap surgery using my own body to build my breast. He listened to all my concerns. He even came to see me in the hospital on Thanksgiving to check on me. Highly recommend him as a surgeon.”

“Dr. Marc Soares is a phenomenal surgeon and an overall phenomenal human. He genuinely cares about his patients, and that comes across in the level of care he provides. I am a very complex patient (I would venture to say, probably one of his most complex), with more medical issues than I can keep track of. However, when it came to my desire for post-mastectomy reconstruction, he took the time to understand what I wanted, he listened attentively to my concerns, and was very honest in what was possible. His calm demeanor instantly puts you at ease, which for me is so incredibly important. I’ve had many, many doctors, and many surgeons as well, and his level of care far exceeds any of them. I’m not thankful I had to deal with cancer and all that it brings, but I’m extremely thankful it afforded me the opportunity to meet Dr. Soares, and it has helped restore my faith that there are still doctors and surgeons who genuinely, truly, care for their patients.”

“The most professional, friendly, knowledgeable doctor and staff.
Dr. Marc was fantastic through both my reconstruction surgeries after double mastectomy.
He was kind, compassionate and made a horrible time for me, so very easy and comfortable.
Answered all my questions in addition to offering me information. I am so very pleased with the outcome!

I feel woman-like again and cannot thank both him and Diana (PA) enough! Diana was so sweet and informative, she made this huge chestie mess easy to get through. Thank you so much SOARES Plastic Surgery...you literally saved my life!”
