Her curiosity for scientific innovation and passion for athletics, merged as she went on to pursue her medical training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. During medical school, she was recognized for distinctions in leadership, presented at numerous national conferences, and earned first-author publications while continuing to pursue her passion for health and wellness as a marathoner. She completed an additional one-year fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York studying the pathophysiology of lymphedema through basic science and clinical research.
